The manual is completely silent on the tidal variable in the reflections module. I would like some clarification on how the tidal variable calculation in the reflections module is implemented and its impact on the reliability results.
The tidal variable result shows relative receive signal level. Relative to what?
The issue I have is that some scenarios produce a result with relative RX level at, say, -5 dB at the nominal 0.0m tide level. Presumably the 0.0m tide level corresponds to the terrain profile height of sea level used (ie 0.0 m)-yes?
Using ITU-R reliability calculation and selecting "large bodies of water" in the Geoclimatic factor dialog, will this cause the link budget reliability results to take account of the tidal impact on the worst month and annual results?
