Hi,
we have today a link 3+1 STM-1 plus a 1+1 STM-1 13GHz/128MLQAM in Berlin in operation with a High/Low violation on the same polarisation with 49,3? angle between the hops at this station.
We calculated the short-range fild behavior of the used 1.2m 13GHz SHP (shell) antennas which makes this solution possible. In a customers network with more than 1000 SDH long haul hops and 5000 short haul hops is a High/low violation standard which has to be calculated before installation.
The SHP antennas give us the chance to decrease the angle down to 20? for CCDP operations instead of ~70? with an UHP antenna.
