How to re-format my pc?

There's some problems with my pc & i need to re-format it...
Can any1 tell mi how to do so? I wanna install Windows 2000

Whatever you do uninitalize Pathloss before you do anything, otherwise your key disk will no longer work.

If you have a licensed copy of Windows 2000 it will ask you if you want to update or re-install. Re-install will format the operating system but retain what data you have on your hard drive.

i've read the reformatting the PC. actually i've reformatted the PC without uninstalling. what should i do next. need your assistance. do i need to buy a new software key. pls advise.
