XPD and Co-Channel Operation

Hi All,

In Pathloss documentation, the formula is given to compute C/I but how are XPD fade margin and threshold degradation computed ?

I cannot get answer in ITU-R P530.

hi,
i am not sure whether this info help u or not but it may help to understand the XPD.For XPD interference, some of the equipment has a features to combat and increase the fade margin,CCDP.In practice, i step down the remote tx power until the rx signal,-xdBm, is experiencing the threshold BER with cross polar canceller.Then with bypassing the cross polar canceller, step down the remote tx power until the rx signal,-ydBm, is experiencing the threshold BER.The margin of cross polar will be increased by z= -ydBm - (-xdBm).
