looking for best way to obtain DEM data

All,

I'm looking for the best way to find and obtain the DEM data I need on an ongoing basis. I'd love to use PL more, but have a hard time understanding the conversion process and don't want to pay $70 for every DEM file I need.

Can anyone help? Are there any better instructions than what PL has given us? Any better sources of DEM files that I can just plug in and go?

You should take a look at the latest version of the program. There is support for the NED data in the US st a resolution of approx 10m and 30m and the SRTM data for the world at a resolution of approx 90m.
